About me...

The passion for photography goes beyond creating beautiful images and photographic storytelling. Sharing my passion for the technical and creative side of photography with others drives me to continue to hone my own skills. Every moment behind the camera is an opportunity to push myself to grow as an artist. Photography career highlights include image critique by Art Wolff, a world renowned nature and landscape photographer who is best known for his work with National Geographic. Additionally I work with Artrepreneur curators as a commercial landscape photographer and Adobe Stock as a stock photographer.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational education studies, majoring in business education, and a Master of Arts degree in career and technical education from Western Michigan University. Most of my teaching career was spent at the secondary level, teaching business management, technology, finance/accounting, and digital and multimedia design. While teaching all of the various curricula was enjoyable, the digital arts was where I found the most joy. I continue to provide education on photography and the digital arts through the blog page on this website.

Personally I am a wife, mother, and Nana. Retirement has been filled with travel and hobbies. The most important part of my retirement is spent with family, including our German Shepherd, Miss Lizzy and especially my granddaughter.
