Environmental Portraiture creates an image that merges people with meaningful surroundings. Most often the people have a connection to the location. Nature portraits combine people and landscapes, whether it is an urban or rural landscape. While occasionally a traditional portrait is created, rarely will there be a "look at me and smile" image. Most often the images captured tell the story of the individual or family.  Sessions are scheduled approximately one to two hours before sunset, utilizing the natural light. Of course sessions are dependent upon the weather forecast. The session will last forty-five minutes to one hour. Attire for the photo session should reflect the personality as well as give a feeling of comfort and confidence. Families should be mindful to coordinate and not match.

Clients are asked to bring a blanket suitable for putting on the ground. Other props are welcome, but incorporating them into the image will be at the photographer's discretion.

The client gallery, consisting of approximately twenty-five images, will be opened for review four weeks following the photo session. The gallery allows for favoriting images, downloading the images (at no additional cost) and sharing with family and friends. 

A photo book will be curated from the gallery's signature images. Additional books as well as prints are available for purchase.

Print quality of the images is guaranteed when printed through the authorized photographic lab. Please refer to the print FAQs on the Investment Page for more information

Retouching on anything other than non-permanent blemishes, may result in a retouching fee. If you prefer forego retouching, please advise the photographer at the photo session.

Prior to contacting me to schedule a session, please review the Environmental Portrait and Printing FAQs. A non-refundable fifty-percent deposit is required to reserve the session and the remaining payment is due at the start of the session. A rain date will be provided in the event of inclement weather.
